111 W Wacker
A mixed use high rise on the Chicago River including a retail base, luxury hotel in the lower floors, and residential rental units in the upper floors.
As seen in the initial sketches, the design began from an existing raw structure that was halted due to bankruptcy. The site and structure was purchased by a New York City developer with a local Chicago office. John Testa was part of the initial design team/ firm to complete this Chicago gem. After months of designing numerous schemes for the local Chicago developer, the New York City office chose a New York City architect for the project. The chosen architect was given all of the work, studies, and intellectual property done by the original firm.
All design studies shown are by me. Renderings are set up by others.
